Positioning
Why is it called Kalika?
Kalika is a name of Kali, the goddess of time. Kaala in Sanskrit means time. Vedic astrology is the ancient science of time. The name honors the lineage and the goddess under whom time itself moves.
I am skeptical of astrology. Why should I look at this?
The founder began as a skeptic too. Kalika does not ask for belief. It shows you the rules, the empirical lift numbers, and the math behind every prediction, and invites you to test the patterns against your own life. If the patterns hold, they hold. If they do not, they do not. We say so either way.
Does Kalika predict my future?
No. Kalika measures the karmic forces operating on your life. Those forces tilt your life in particular directions, but they do not determine your choices. We trust you to use the information consciously.
Why is Kalika different from other astrology apps?
Three reasons. First, our knowledge base is empirically validated against 47,000 verified birth charts. Most apps have no validation pipeline at all. Second, we tag every rule with the force direction and intensity it applies, so you see what is actually moving in your life rather than predictions alone. Third, our reading philosophy explicitly preserves your free will: we read your karma honestly, help you accept what is, and help you navigate consciously.
Do you offer remedies?
Yes, with care: charity-focused remedies, behavioral practices, and mindfulness work. We do not recommend specific gemstones (those require qualified practitioner consultation), and we do not recommend ritualistic remedies that we cannot empirically support. Charity is universal, accessible, low-risk, and karmically meaningful in every spiritual tradition.
What is the difference between Cosmic Nexus and Kalika?
Cosmic Nexus is the underlying technology: the calculation engine, the rule database, the empirical validation pipeline. Kalika is the consumer brand and reading philosophy built on top of it. The technology is engineering. The brand is devotion.
Are you affiliated with any guru, lineage, or astrological school?
We honor the practitioner tradition broadly. Parashara, Jaimini, Yogini Dasha methodology, classical sources, and contemporary practitioners. No exclusive lineage allegiance. We extract validated knowledge from many sources and submit it to empirical scrutiny. The ancient wisdom is the foundation; our job is to honor it with rigor.
The readings
What is Vedic astrology, and how is it different from the horoscope I read in a magazine?
Vedic astrology (Jyotish) is a classical Indian system based on sidereal zodiac calculations and rules written down across two millennia. It uses the same planets as Western astrology but computes different positions and emphasises different techniques: dashas (planetary periods), divisional charts, and yogas (specific planetary combinations). A newspaper horoscope is entertainment; a Vedic reading is a mathematical interpretation of a specific birth time.
How fast will I get my reading?
Burning Question, Career, and Health readings are delivered within 24 hours of your order. Compatibility and Life Time readings take up to 48 hours because they are longer and hand-reviewed more carefully. If we ever miss the window, you will hear from us directly.
What format is the reading in?
A PDF delivered to your email. It is designed to read well on phone, tablet, and print. No login required, no expiring links for you to log into. Yours to keep.
Can I ask follow-up questions?
The PDF is a standalone document. If a specific section is unclear, email us and we will clarify the passage at no charge. If you want a new reading on a new question, buy a One Burning Question. That is what it is designed for.
Birth data
What if I do not know my exact birth time?
Approximate times (to the hour) work for Career, Health, and Burning Question. For Compatibility and Life Time the ascendant and angular houses matter, so birth time is effectively required. If you have a time window, tell us. We can note it in the reading.
What if the place I was born does not show up in the location lookup?
Our lookup is based on OpenStreetMap. If the place is not there, type the nearest district town or city and email us a note with the exact village name. We will reconcile the coordinates manually before running the chart.
Is my data private?
Yes. Birth data and email are used only to generate your reading, never shared, never sold. PDFs are stored for 30 days after delivery (in case you lose the email) and then automatically deleted.
Orders and payment
Do I need an account?
No. Guest checkout only. You enter your email with the order and we send you the PDF.
Do you offer refunds?
If we cannot produce your reading (unusable birth data we cannot salvage, a technical failure on our side), you get a full refund. Once a reading is delivered we do not offer refunds, but we are happy to clarify sections you find unclear at no charge.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, via Stripe Checkout. We do not store card details; Stripe handles that.
Limits and ethics
Will you predict when I will die?
No. Classical texts discuss longevity indicators and vulnerability windows, and our Health & Longevity Reading covers those. We will not tell anyone the date of their death. That is off-limits for us for ethical reasons.
Can a reading tell me if a specific person is my soulmate?
No. A Compatibility Reading can tell you where two specific charts harmonise and where they grind. Whether that relationship is right for you is your decision; the reading is information, not a verdict.
Is this a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, or therapist?
No. A reading is for reflection and timing. It is not a replacement for medical, legal, financial, or psychological counsel. See our disclaimer.
